When I think of crappie fishing its usually early spring or late fall when the spawning season happens. If you are looking to catch some crappie this time of year you need to find some kind of structure anywhere from 10ft to 30ft deep. Crappie almost always hide in or under structures this time of year like suspended trees under docks or trees on the bottom of the lake. Fish finders are almost necessary unless you know where somebody has put a structure to attract them.
