Black Bass Spawning Season

Black Bass moved up to the shallows and started spawning a couple of weeks ago. As of the time of this post you can still find them on beds. The lake’s clarity is ranging any where from muddy on the north end and really clear on the south side of the lake making for some good sight fishing on the south side. Water temp is prime temperature ranging from low to mid 60s. I typically fish short worms, swim baits with a heavy head, football jigs (no trailer), lipless crank baits, anything that will get a reaction out of the fish when moved across their bed but not too long where the fish can pick it up and move it without getting the hook. Look for bass in shallower coves. I would start all the way back in a cove and work my way out.
