Sand Bass are up and chasing shad

Over the winter the sand bass moved to deeper water and were pretty hard to find. Since a few weeks ago they have moved to shallower sand bars or in coves chasing shad. I typically troll for sand bass where the water is anywhere from 10 to 20 foot deep with a sandy bottom. When trolling for sand bass there is only one lure I use which is a white crank bait that dives about 10 feet deep, red eyes are preferred but not necessary. You can also fish any shiny chrome lure anything from a fluttering spoon, slabs or a Little George is always a good choice. I have seen the white bass in scenic point cove chasing shad around a few different times.
