As of around midnight the Texas Forest Service posted the Fire was at 10% contained and 500 acres burned. As of last night 8 structures were lost. This morning around 7am there are no visible flames from the peninsula but there is a bunch of smoldering. Winds are suppose to pick up later this morning. Hopefully that does not spark the fire back up. We will keep you up to date as the situation unfolds today. The picture was taken around 9pm last night.
