The annual Mardi Gras celebration at the lake will be held on Saturday, March 4, starting with a parade down Park Road 36 at 3pm. Prizes for best individual and business floats will be given. The Shrimp Fest with all the trimmings begins at 6pm at the PK Chamber Center on FM RD 2353. Tickets for the meal are Adult $28, Senior (62 & over) $15, Kids (3-10 Yrs) $10, and Toddlers (Under Two) Free. Meals to go will be available. Live music will by provided by the popular Zydeco Band. Winners will be announced for best parade float categories and Best Costume for individual, adult, and child divisions.
Don’t forget that the Mardi Gras Store will be open at the Chamber Center in mid February to purchase bead necklaces to throw at parade floats.
