56,000 Small Mouth Fingerlings
56,000 Small Mouth Bass were stocked this past week in Possum Kingdom Lake.
Sand Bass are up and chasing shad
Over the winter the sand bass moved to deeper water and were pretty hard to find. Since a few weeks ago they have moved to shallower sand bars or in coves chasing shad.
Black Bass Spawning Season
Black Bass moved up to the shallows and started spawning a couple of weeks ago. As of the time of this post you can still find them on beds.

Striper Fishing at PK
Over the winter most people were focusing on the north end of the lake to catch striper. They were pretty deep in the channel around 30 foot deep.
Crappie
Crappie Are finally starting to spawn
Crappie finally started to move up and spawn this week. Fishing for spawning crappie means you have to fish really shallow water, 1 foot to about 3 foot deep.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife stocked Small Mouth Bass at Possum Kingdom a couple of years back. Since then I have personally only seen one caught and have only heard from a couple of people that have caught them.
